This explains what we do with your information when you use this site. If anything here isn't clear, email amyvoceyoga@gmail.com and we'll explain it properly.

Short version: we collect very little, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.

Who we are

This site is run by Amy Voce. We're responsible for the information described here. Contact us at amyvoceyoga@gmail.com.

What we collect

If you get in touch. Your name, your email address, and whatever you write in your message.

If you join our mailing list. Your email address, and the date you signed up.

If you just browse. Anonymous statistics about how the site is used — which pages people visit, roughly which country they're in, what device they're on. We can't identify you from this.

That's everything. We don't take payment details through this site, and we don't collect anything sensitive.

Why we use it

To reply to you. If you email us or use the contact form, we use your details to answer. Nothing else.

To arrange and deliver a booking. If you book us, we use your details to quote, plan, deliver the work, and invoice you.

To keep our records straight. We have to keep invoices and financial records for six years — that's HMRC, not us.

To send you our mailing list. Only if you've asked for it. You can leave any time.

To improve the site. The anonymous statistics tell us what's working and what isn't.

Cookies

We use a few cookies that are needed to make the site work — these can't be turned off, because without them the site doesn't function.

We also use basic analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. This is aggregate only. We don't use advertising cookies, we don't track you across other websites, and we don't build a profile of you. [You can turn analytics off at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.]

Who else sees it

We don't sell your information and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing.

A small number of companies handle it for us, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:

• Squarespace — hosts the site and handles the contact form

• Gmail— our email

• Flodesk — sends the mailing list

• Quest Ltd — invoices and tax records

Some of these are based outside the UK. Where they are, they're covered by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.

We'd also hand over information if the law required it — to HMRC, for example, or a court.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don’t lead to anything — 12 months, then deleted.

• Booking records — 6 years after the work is done.

• Invoices — 6 years, because HMRC says so.

• Mailing list — until you unsubscribe.

• Website statistics — around 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• show you what we hold about you

• correct anything that’s wrong

• delete it, unless we have to keep it for tax reasons

• stop using it for something

• send it to you in a portable format

You can unsubscribe from the mailing list any time — there's a link at the bottom of every email, or just tell us.

To do any of these, email amyvoceyoga@gmail.com. We'll respond within a month, and it's free.

If you’re unhappy

Tell us first — email amyvoceyoga@gmail.com and we'll look into it and come back to you.

If we don't sort it out to your satisfaction, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. You can go to them directly if you'd rather, but we'd like the chance to fix it first.

Keeping it safe

We use secure connections, strong passwords, and limit who can see your information. No website is completely secure, but if something went badly wrong we'd tell you and report it.

Children

This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this page. The date at the top tells you when we last did.
